Winter vacation 2025

The winter holidays are here, and as usual, we have added a little extra to the program!

This summer we tested the concept "Become a Polaria expert" where children and young people can do tasks related to the exhibitions and enter the draw for great prizes! During the winter holidays, new tasks will be available, and both adults and children will have the chance to win cuddly toys, annual passes to Polaria , and one lucky winner will walk away with an "Ice to Meet You" seal encounter! Worksheets will be available upon arrival at Polaria .

"On the Shore" starts at 11:30 every day. One of our skilled aquarium staff will then stand at the "On the Shore" tank at the very back of the aquarium and show off starfish, crabs and sea urchins. You can ask questions, and it is even possible to touch and feel the various sea creatures.

On Wednesdays and Sundays, you can see the fish in "Tromsøflaket", the large aquarium tank with cod and catfish, being fed at 11:00. This is a unique opportunity to see several of the more static fish swimming around, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions to our aquarium staff.

And if you need a little break you can buy coffee, soda and pastries at our reception. On the 1st floor above the reception you will find seating, and we have also set up a colouring station for both children and adults.

Seal feedings will be as normal at 10:30, 12:30 and 15:30, plus an extra Seal-feeding with theme at 2:30 PM!

Tickets can be purchased online or upon arrival at reception.
