Autumn holiday 2024

The fall break is here, and we recommend everyone to visit Polaria!

Despite construction work, we are open as normal here at Polaria. If you haven't visited the new exhibitions exhibitions that opened in December last year, it's a good idea to spend some time here. The exhibitions are interactive, and it's possible to explore the various animals in the Arctic through exciting texts and fun games that are suitable for both children and adults. It's all about how everything in nature is connected, from the tiny plankton that live just below the surface of the sea, to the giant whales that live in the depths!

We show the three cinema films "Svalbard - Arctic Wilderness", "Northern Lights" and "Behind the Scenes" every half hour in our movie theater.

In the seal pool, there have been some changes - we have a new big cob, a boy called Vlad, who has moved to Polaria from an aquarium in France! To give him a little extra peace and quiet while he gets used to us here at Polaria, we have moved our three stone cobras, Leo, Loffen and Lyra, to another pool that is inaccessible to the public. Only the three big cobs Bella, Mai San and Vlad can be seen on Polaria right now. They are fed and trained every day at 10:30, 12:30 and 15:30.

Do you want to meet the sea creatures that live just outside Polaria? Then "On the shore" is perfect for you! One of our skilled staff will be standing by the classroom tank at the back of the aquarium to tell you about sea urchins, starfish, hermit crabs and several other animals that live on the shore. Visitors will be able to touch some of the animals and ask questions along the way. "On the shore" will be at 11:30 to 12:00 every day.

In addition to all this, we're running a rebus in the aquarium in familiar style, where one lucky winner will walk away with a family ticket!

Du får også 20% rabatt på Leo- og storkobbe-kosedyrene våre i gavebutikken <3
